Outreach Ministry
On the third weekend of every month, we hold a food and clothing drive which benefits Sacred Heart Community Services and some needy local families. During each mass on these weekends, parishioners are welcome to bring their food and clothing donations to the altar during the presentation of the gifts.
When funeral services take place at St. Thomas, families mourning the loss of a loved one may choose to have a reception in the parish hall organized by our funeral reception committee. Because the food is ordinarily donated, it is provided at no cost to the families. If families wish, committee members will also take care of serving the food and cleaning up afterwards.
At special times of the year, parishioners take part in other outreach activities, including the Christmas Giving Tree and the use of Lenten offering boxes.
